Oh dear, the Aussies lose another one-day final

Hard not to smile after England hammered in the Ashes, and Australia rather full of it re their cricketing prowess.

But after England won the Commonwealth Bank series, giving Aus a good drubbing in the two finals, now the Kiwis have won Lillee-Hadlee contest 2-0: by ten wickets in first match, and - astonishingly - scoring over 330 to win in second innings of the second final.

Of course, not huge contests in the scheme of things, and may well be that Aus will trounce all in the World Cup. But right now, looking like the World Cup is more open than had seemed the case: I just heard the West Indies are now favourites.
